DHAKA: A person allegedly strangled his wife in city’s Bhashantek area on Friday.

The ill-fated woman was identified as Morjina Begum, 28, wife of Amir Uddin and resident of the area.

Police sources said on information they recovered the body from a house around 1:00pm.

Morjina’s husband might have killed at any time of the day and fled the scene, sources added.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection.

Sub-Inspector of Bhashantek Thana Nuruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
