TANGAIL: Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) student Abu Hanif, 25, who was killed in a road accident on Friday, was laid to rest at his family graveyard in Mirzapur upazilla of the district on Saturday.
The namaz-e-janaza of Hanif, who was also a national athlete, was held on Dewhata School ground of the upazila at 10:30am followed by his burial.
Earlier, Hanif’s body arrived at his village home at 4:00am.
Hanif’s teacher BKSP Athletic Department In-Charge Mehedi Hasan, Assistant professor of Physical Education and Sports Science Department of JUST Dr Mohammad Zakirul Islam and a group of fellow students joined the namaz-e-janaza.
On Friday, four people, including Abu Hanif, were killed and 10 others injured when a truck knocked a human hauler in Pultadanga area on Jessore-Chougachha road in Jessore district.
