DHAKA: A fire broke out in a residential building at Monipuripara in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, duty officer of Fire Service control office Bhajan Kumar said the fire originated at the second floor of the building around 4:15pm.

Five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and trying to douse the fire, he added.

However he could not confirm the reason of the fire.
