NETROKONA: Two people were killed and 12 others injured in two different road accidents at Sadar upazila in the district on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Gias Uddin, hailed from Kutubpur village and Shahid Mia, 30, hailed from Gumuria village in Barhatta upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Netrokona Model Thana Masudul Alam told banglanews that a motorbike collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on Netrokona-Kendua road in Fachika area around 3:45pm that left Gias Uddin dead on the spot.

On the other hand, 13 people were injured as a passenger bus knocked a human hauler on Netrokona-Mohonganj road in Satarasree area in the morning, he added.

Local people rushed them to Netrokona Sadar Hospital where Shahid Mia succumbed to his injuries, he added.
