DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday sent 22 students of Dental College to jail rejecting their bail pleas.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) M Anwar Sadat passed the order after hearing of the plea.

Earlier on Wednesday, police arrested 22 students, including ‘BSc Dental Association’ convener Sarwar Hossain Bhuiyan while the students tried to go to health ministry to submit a memorandum under the banner of the association.

On Wednesday morning, the dental college students under Dhaka, Chittagong and Rajshahi universities began demonstration in front of the city’s National Press Club to press home their 4-point demands that include job opportunity and registration for practice.
