DHAKA: No sight of four-year-old boy has been found by the high-powered camera at 243 feet bottom of a deep well in the city's Shahjahanpur.
State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal came up with the development while talking to the journalists on the spot at 2:50am Saturday.
Earlier rescuers had failed to find Jihad reportedly trapped into a several-hundred-feet hole of an abandoned deep tubewell at Dhaka's Shahjahanpur despite frantic efforts.
Jihad allegedly fell inside the 17-inch diameter shaft, around 40 yards from his house in Shahjahanpur, around 4:30pm Friday while playing with other children.
Rescuers were seen trying to send a special cage attached with camera to pull the boy this morning, Banglanews correspondent reports.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said debris was located inside the well but no baby was found even after 11 hours of frantic effort. If the boy fell into the well he would possibly stay alive because of adequate Oxygen, he claimed.
Kamal told that though the sign of the boy is yet to be found, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense will stay on the spot to run the operation.
