NARAYANGANJ: Two persons including a woman were killed and a minor was injured in a water tank collapse in Nayapara area under Siddhirganj on Sunday noon.

The deceased was identified as Jhorna Begum, 55, and Abdur Rab, 60. A seven-year-old girl named Shikha was injured in the accident.

Wasim, son of Jhorna Begum, said, the concrete water tank of their rented house collapsed at 1:15pm suddenly, leaving the three injured.

They were rushed to Khanpur 300-bed Hospital where Jhorna Begum succumbed to injuries. Later other two were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where Rab died.

Officer-in-Charge of Siddhirganj Thana Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
