DINAJPUR: Five persons were killed and over a dozen injured in road accident in Daspara area under Briganj upazila on Tuesday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Birganj Thana Belal Hossain said a rashly driven bus turned turtle in the area at 9:45am when its driver hit a tree losing control over steering.

Two passengers died on the spot and three others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, he added.
