DHAKA: Six people ordered to walk gallows and two jailed for life for killing office assistant of Rajarbagh police telecom Shamsul Haider in broad daylight in 2006.
Judge of Dhaka-1 speedy trial tribunal Shahed Nur Uddin passed the order on Tuesday noon.
The death convicts are—Babul, Abdul Latif, Hafizul Hossain, Anwar Hossain, Wasim and Kazal Mia while life timers are- Razan Mia and Shamsul Alam.
Shamsul Haider was brutally killed in broad daylight on September 6, 2006 in front of his quarters at the AGB colony in Motijheel.
In this connection, his elder brother filed a murder case with the Motijheel Police Station on the same day.
Detective Branch (DB) of Police Inspector Anwarul Haque Bhuiyan submitted the charge sheet on July 17, 2008.
