DHAKA: A Dhaka Court ordered to quiz ETV chairman Abdus Salam at jail gate in a case filed under the Pornography Control Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Meher Nigar Suchona passed the order after rejecting remand and bail pleas Thursday.

On Tuesday mid night, Detective Branch police arrested Abdus Salam from his office in a case filed under the Pornography Act-2012 for broadcasting a ‘false report’ about a woman in a programme named Ekusher Chokh two months ago.

Later in the day, investigation officer, also DB Inspector Shah Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman Ilias produced Abdus Salam before the court of same judge and the court did not passed any order and sent him to jail as the prosecution failed to submit the case document by the afternoon.
