KISHOREGANJ: Over 200 bullets and five bayonets, believed to be hidden during the country’s war of independence, have been unearthed in Ahutia village under Pakundia upazila of the district on Thursday.
Police sources said that a group of day labourers discovered the ammunition in an abandoned condition while they were digging soil in the area around 10:30am.
However, on information, police recovered 221 bullets and five bayonets from the place.
Pakundia Thana Officer-in-Charge Zakir Rabbani confirmed the matter to banglanews.
