THAKURGAON: India’s Border Security Force (BSF) members held two Bangladeshi nationals from Malani frontier area under Haripur upazila of the district on Monday.
The youths are residents of Haripur upazila.
Local sources said they went to India several months ago for searching jobs. However, Phulbari BSF camp personnel held them near the Pillar No-121 inside India around 9:00am while they were returning home.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said a letter was sent to BSF asking them to hold a flag meeting to get the Bangladeshis back.
Thakurgaon-30 BGB director Lieutenant Colonel Tushar Bin Yunus confirmed the matter to banglanews.
