PM donates 8 cops among 16 victims

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina donated to eight female police constables and eight other blockade victims who are admitted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

She donated Tk 10,000 each.

Prime Minister Office (PMO) director Dr Zulfiqar Ali on Monday handed over the donated money to the people on behalf of the prime minister.

However, he was accompanied with DMCH director Brigadier Mostafizur Rahman and medical organization SWACHIP leader Iqbal Arsalan, among others.

Zulfiqar Ali said that this financial assistance was given from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the female police personnel who were injured in a road accident and the victims of nationwide ongoing blockade.

Besides, the DMCH authorities will bear the medical costs of the victims following the instruction of the prime minister, he added.
