TANGAIL: Four persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Salla area under Kalihati upazila on Tuesday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Locals said that a rashly driven oil-laden lorry rammed into a taxicab in the area around 7:20am, leaving two passengers of the cab dead on the spot while the lorry helper and another cab passenger succumbed to their injuries on arrival at the hospital.

Five others were injured critically in this fatal road mishap.
