DHAKA: Supreme Court (SC) Bar Council President Khandker Mahbub Hossain on Tuesday said ‘zero tolerance’ would be shown regarding the security of SC.

The senior lawyer of the SC came up with the forewarning at a press conference about finding bombs at SC premises.

He also said they sent letters to the attorney general, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Supreme Court Registrar and Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh Thana to take proper measure to secure the SC.

They suggested in the letter to take initiatives to limit the entrance of people in the SC area allowing only bar council members, senior lawyers and their apprentices and registered advocates.

Khandker Mahbub told the media that a special meeting will be held on security issues of the court with the registrar, law enforcers, attorney general and former presidents and secretaries of SC bar council.

He further said that the attorney general alleged that the blockaders and militants carried out the attack in the SC area.

But, the bar council president blamed the attackers of BNP leaders in this issue.

Khandker Mahbub urged all to work together avoiding the fabrication of the incident.
