DHAKA: At least three vehicles including two passenger buses were torched in city Tuesday night.

Witnesses told banglanews that a private car was torched at Gulshan-2 intersection around 8:30pm.

Earlier, miscreants set a Baishakhi Paribahan bus on fire at Kemal Ataturk Avenue in Banani around 8:15pm.

Confirming the matter, Fire Service and Civil Defense control room officer Nilufar Yasmin said that fire fighters, on information, rushed to the spot.

However, miscreants set fire to a passenger bus in Dhanmondi area at 7:00pm.

Witnesses told banglanews that a Bikolpo Paribahan bus was torched in front of Dhanmondi Government Boys' High School.

The incident took place when the city bus was waiting there for passengers, sources added.

Later, Fire Service personnel, on information, rushed to the spot and doused the flame.
