JESSORE: Four motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Begaritala area under Monirampur upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.

The deceased were identified as Shafiar Rahman, 42, son of Iman Ali Gazi, residing in Mathurapur village under Monirampur upazila of the district, Shahinur Rahman, 35, son of Shafiqul Islam, of Balidha village of the same upazila, Mashiar Rahman, 42, son of Nur Mohammad of Kuada area of the town and Nur Hossain, 35.

Sources said a rashly driven truck crushed into their two motorbikes in the area around 1:30pm, leaving three dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured were rushed to Jessore General Hospital. Later, another one succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Monirampur Thana Officer-in-Charge Mollah Khabir Uddin Ahmed confirmed the accident.
