New York: United States (US) assistant secretary for population, refugees and migration, Anne C Richard, is scheduled to visit Bangladesh from January 20 to 23.
Sources told banglanews that she will be visiting Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar at that time.
During her visit, according to the US ministry of foreign affairs, Anne will meet with the government officials and representatives of local and international non-governmental organizations (NGO) in Bangladesh.
The US assistant secretary, moreover, will meet with the undocumented and registered Rohingya refugees and officials of the organizations providing humanitarian assistance in Cox’s Bazar along with the district and local administration officials.
However, she will be there after visiting Myanmar starting form January 16.
