DHAKA: Two buses and an auto rickshaw were torched in the city on Friday during the blockade.

In Tejgaon area, a bus of Balaka Paribahan was torched by miscreants in front of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute around 7:50pm.

Fire service control room operator Mostafa confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Being informed a fire service unit doused the fire.

In Dhanmondi, miscreants torched a bus in front of Star Kaba Restaurant of the area around 8:15pm.

Duty officer Mohammad Ali of Fire service control room confirmed the matter.

In Rampura area, a CNG-run auto rickshaw was torched allegedly by blockaders in front of Sadia Garments in the area around 6:30pm.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubul Alam of Rampura Thana confirmed the matter.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of the local people.
