DHAKA: A city dweller was killed in a road accident in Beribadh area at Mohammadpur in the city on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Rashid, 45, resident of Nabinagar Housing of that area.

Witnesses said he was critically injured as a human hauler, locally known as Leguna, carrying him, overturned as the driver lost his control over steering.

Later, Rashid was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.

DMCH police camp Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sentu Chanda confirmed the matter.
