Fog halts Daulatdia-Paturia ferry service

GOALUNDO, RAJBARI: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) authorities have suspended Daulatdia-Paturia ferry service temporarily early Wednesday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources told banglanews that the ferry service has been halted around 2:00am.

Confirming the matter, Daulatdia Ghat manager Shafiqul Islam said that the authorities took the decision to avert accident due to blurred visibility.

The service will resume whenever the density of fog decreases, he added.
