BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Wednesday seized 11 gold bars and nabbed one at Daulatpur village in Benapole than of the district.

The detainee Babu, 32, son of Abul Hossin, is a resident of Dakkhin Daulatpur village in Benalope.

BGB sources said a team of Border Guard Bangladesh conducted a drive at noon on Daulatpur frontier on information of gold smuggling.

Eleven gold bars were seized from a man named Babu after searching his body, they added.

Putkhali BGB camp subedar Abdul Haque said the detainee with the gold bars would be produced to Benapole Thana soon.
