DHAKA: Members of cultural and several professional groups staged a human chain on Saturday against arson attacks and burning people across the country in the name of movement. 

The protesters, after the program held at 10:30am in front of National Press Club in city, headed to Central Shaheed Minar.

They carried the festoons and banners with the slogans against the attacks of petrol bombs and killing of people. They also upheld the writings to create mass awareness against these sorts of attacks.

Eminent journalists Abed Khan, ‘Bangladesh Pratidin’ editor Noem Nizam, popular actors Syed Hasan Imam, Dr Enamul Haque, Hasan Masud and Nipun took part in the human chain.

Cricketers Akram Khan, Naimur Rahman Durjoy and Khaled Mahmud Sujon, among others, also attended the program.
