3 burnt in Barisal cylinder blast

BARISAL: Three businessmen sustained burn injuries in a cylinder blast at Ujirpur upazila in the district on Saturday.

The injured are Abul Hashem, 50, Abu Sayeed, 22 and Rimon Hawladar, 20, hailed from Jessore district.

They were admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College.

Ujirpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Nurul Islam said that the blast took place when the gas-balloon sellers were filling balloons.

They were admitted to the hospital after they were rescued, the OC added.
