SATKHIRA: Members of Border Security Forces (BSF) of India detained a Bangladeshi national from Chanduria border area of the district on Saturday.

The detainee Shahin Hossain is a cattle trader and resident of Kolaroa upazila of the district.

Locals said that BSF personnel held Shahin when he went to the borderline to bring cattle in the morning.

On the other hand, another cattle trader was allegedly shot by BSF members in the Sadar upazila at dawn.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Satkhira-38 acting commander Major Nazir Ahmed Baksi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
