DHAKA: A construction worker was electrocuted at Demra in the city on Sunday.
The ill fated person was identified as Mohammad Shahidul Islam, 22.
Coworker of the deceased, Abdul Mannan, said that Shahidul came in contact with live electric wire in the afternoon while he was cutting rods at the construction site.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead at 3:10pm.
The body was kept in DMCH morgue.
Police sources of DMCH outpost confirmed the matter to banglanews.
