Koko’s body arrives

DHAKA: The body of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and former President Ziaur Rahman, arrived in Dhaka after three-day he died in Malaysia.

A flight of Malaysia Airlines, carrying the body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:45am Tuesday.

Party vice-chairmen Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf and Abdullah Al Noman, international affairs secretary Gias Qader Chowdhury and standing committee members Dr Abdul Moin Khan and Nazrul Islam Khan received the body at the airport.

Later the body was taken to Gulshan office of Khaleda Zia where hundreds of BNP and 20-party alliance have gathered.

His Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at Baitul Mokarram after Asar prayer and he will be laid to rest at Banani graveyard as denied permission for Army graveyard.

Arafat Rahman Koko died in a heart attack in Malaysia on January 24.
