CHITTAGONG: President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday reached the largest frigate of Bangladesh Navy ‘Samudra Joy’ to watch the annual war exercise of Bangladesh Navy titled ‘Sea Thunder-2015’ in the Bay of Bengal.

Commanding officer Capt. W. H. Kutubuddin, of ‘Samudra Joy’ welcomed the President around 10:35am.

Chief of Bangladesh Navy vice-admiral M Farid Habib, (ND), NDC, PSC, was also present here.

A well-trained team of the Navy paid the President ceremonial Guard of Honour immediately after he had reached the ‘Samudra Joy’.

Concluding part of the annual exercise of Bangladesh Navy ‘Exercise Sea Thunder-2015’ was scheduled to begin at 12:15pm.
