CHANDPUR: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Dhanua area under Faridganj upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said that a tractor knocked down a CNG-run auto rickshaw in the area around 5:30pm, leaving five persons injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Chandpur General Hospital where doctors declared two of the injured dead.

Chandpur police superintendent Amir Zafar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
