Ex-Ittefaq editor’s daughter found dead

DHAKA: The daily Ittefaq’s former acting editor Akhtar Ul Alam’s daughter has been found dead at her house in city’s Rampura area Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Fahmida Akhtar, 45.

Sources told banglanews that her maidservant found Fahmida’s body lying on the bed with hands and legs tied with rope at her house of Rampura Mahanagar Project around 12:00pm.

Later, police, on information, sent the body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, sources added.

However, police suspected her death as resulting from strangulation.
