SYLHET: Two motorcyclists were killed and another injured in a road accident on Biswanathpur-Jagannathpur road in Bagichabazar area under Biswanath upazila of the district Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Noman Ahmed, 16, son of one Motsin Ali and Khaled Ahmed, 15, son of one Tajul Islam, residents of the upazila.

Locals and police sources said that a truck knocked the motorcycle in the area around 4:30pm, leaving Noman dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were rushed to Osmani Medical College and Hospital of Sylhet where on duty doctor declared Khaled Ahmed dead on arrival.

Officer-in-Charge of Biswanath Thana Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

“The truck was seized and the motorcycle recovered,” he added.
