KERANIGANJ: Police recovered body of a woman from a septic tank in Uttar Baherchar area of the uapzila on Saturday night after she was allegedly killed by her husband and dumped in there.

The victim was identified as Ayesaha Begum, 30, wife of Yunus Mian of the area.

Keraniganj Model Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Golam Rosul told banglanews that local found the body inside the tank at the woman’s house in the evening.

On information, police recovered the body around 10:00am. The women’s throat was tied with scurf, SI Rosul added.

Quoting Ayesaha’s mother Chandravanu, the SI said the woman had gone missing for 3 to 4 days, her husband might have been killed her and dumped the body in the septic tank.

Police sent the body to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the woman’s husband became fugitive since the recovery of the body, added the SI.
