DHAKA: At least three passenger buses have been torched at different places of the capital Sunday night.

Sources told banglanews that the buses were torched on Johnson Road in city’s older section, Natun Bazar in Badda area and in Nilkhet during the ongoing 72-hour nationwide hartal enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance from Sunday.

According to the sources, a group of blockaders set fire to a city bus in front of Judge Court on Johnson Road around 7:30pm.

However, there was no report of casualty as the passengers got down from the bus immediately.

Earlier, some miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a Falgun Paribahan bus in Nutun Bazar around 6:45pm.

Meanwhile, a VIP Paribahan bus was also torched in Nilkhet area.
