RIYADH: A 17-member high-level Saudi delegation comprising representatives of Saudi Arabia is scheduled to visit Bangladesh on Sunday to formulate modalities of the recruitment.
The Saudi delegates will visit Dhaka on a three-day tour regarding recruitment of skilled manpower from Bangladesh, said Mosharraf Hossain, the he political councilor of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, on Friday.
Another councilor of the embassy in Riyadh, Sarwar Alam said that Dr Ahmed F. Alfahaid, Deputy Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Labor of Saudi Arabia will lead the delegation.
Sarwar Alam also said that the delegation is scheduled to meet Engineer Khondokar Mosharraf Hossain, Minister of Overseas Employment and Expatriate Welfare affaris, and other high officials of the government.
The government of Saudi Arabia has got the green signal from Royal Court to reopen manpower market for Bangladeshi workers recently.
The Saudi government imposed a ban on importing manpower from Bangladesh in 2008 alleging anomalies in the recruitment process.
