NETROKONA: A Netrokona court on Monday awarded death penalty to two people for their involvement in killing of a freedom fighter.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hamid handed down the verdict around 1:15pm.

The convicts are Bakul Mia of Mohanganj upazila and Anwar Hossain.

The case statement said the freedom fighter Kanuchandra Talukder of Mohanganj upazila of the district was killed in 2008.
