SHERPUR (BOGRA): At least 30 vehicles, including buses and trucks were vandalized, and a series of cocktails were blasted by blockaders in Sherpur upazila of the district on Monday evening.

Witnesses said that some hartal and blockade supporters vandalized three trucks, three buses and 20-25 CNG-run auto-rickshaws at different places of the upazila from 6:00pm to 6:20pm.

They also blasted series of cocktails on Dhaka-Bogra highway at that time.

On information, police rushed to the spots and opened fire to bring the situation under control.

However, police could not nab anyone in this connection as the blockaders fled the scene immediately sensing the presence of the law enforcers.

Sherpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Ali Ahmmed Hashmi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
