DHAKA: A rickshaw puller was severely injured as miscreants blasted two cocktails in front of Rokeya Hall of Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday evening.

The injured is Shafi Alam, 25, resident of Kamrangi Char area.

Sources said miscreants blasted the cocktails in front of the hall where the rickshaw puller, Shafi, waiting for passengers, leaving him injured critically.

The injured were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Sub-Inspector (SI) Soma Akhter of Shahbagh Thana told banglanews that they were not informed yet about the matter.
