4 killed in different accidents in city

DHAKA: Four people were killed in different accidents in city from early Friday to afternoon.

Of the unidentified deceased persons, two were killed under the wheels of train and two killed in road accidents.

Officer-in-Charge of Kamalapur GRP (Government Railway Police) Thana Abdul Majid told banglanews that a person was killed under the wheels of a train at the southern side of Film Development Corporation (FDC) around 2:30am.

Meanwhile, another person was injured as a train knocked him near Karwan Bazar area in city around 2:30pm.

Passers-by rushed him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the injured succumbed to his injuries.

On the other hand, Sub-Inspector of Kafrul Thana Arifur Rahman said a person was injured in a road accident at Urojahaj crossing area near new road under the thana.

Local people rushed him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College (ShSMC) where on duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.

Besides, Uttara (west) Thana Sub-Inspector Saiful Islam told banglanews a person was killed on the spot in a road accident near a filling station of Sector-7 area of Uttara in city around 6:00am.

The bodies were sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
