DHAMRAI (DHAKA): Two persons were killed falling off a truck when another truck hit the vehicle on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Daotiya area early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Harun-ar-Rashid of South Bathuli village of Dhamrai upazila and Dulal Miah of Bhagmanpur village under Sadar Thana of Manikganj.

Police said Harun and Dulal fell down from the bamboo-laden truck, as a speedy truck knocked down their truck around 5:00pm in the area, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and took the bodies to the Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex for autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection, police added.
