FENI: A robber was lynched at the early hours of Monday in Bhalukia area under Sadar upazila of the district.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

Quoting the locals, Feni Sadar Hospital RMO said a band of robbers swooped on the house of one Alamgir Hossain of the area and robbed of Tk 80,000 along with approximately 116 grams of gold jewelry at the wee hours of Monday.

However, locals sensed the presence of the robbers and chased them.

The angry mob managed to catch one of the robbers and gave him a good beating, leaving the dacoit dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Feni Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
