DHAKA: Two persons were crushed under the wheels of trains in Goalanda upazila of Rajbari and in Keotkhali of Mymensingh on Friday.

One of the deceased was identified as Abdul Jalil Sheikh, 45, resident of Sadar upazila.

In Goalanda, witnesses said that an intercity train ran over the ill-fated Abdul Jalil while he was walking through the rail line in the area around 10:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Goalanda Ghat Thana Officer-in-Charge AKM Nasir Ullyah confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On the other hand, an unidentified person, aged around 30, was crushed under the wheels of a train after falling from the roof of it in Keowatkhali area of Mymensingh on Friday.

Two others were also injured in the incident, police sources said.

The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital.

Mymensingh Railway Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Mosleh Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
