DHAKA: Death row convict war criminal Kamaruzzaman has directed his lawyers to proceed for appeal against full verdict of Appellate Division of Supreme Court.    

He came up with the direction when defense counsels-- Advocate Mohammad Tazul Islam, Shishir Mohammad Monir, Barrister Ehsan E Siddique, Moshiul Alam and Motiur Rahman Akanda- met with him at the gate of Central Jail on Saturday morning.

Quoting Kamaruzzaman, Tazul Islam said he was a HSC student during liberation war and is innocent. 

Lawyers also hoped he will be acquitted after the review.

Earlier on Thursday, International Crime Tribunal issued death warrant against him and jail authority read out it before him.

Later Kamaruzzaman wished to talk with his lawyers.

On Wednesday Supreme Court published its full verdict on the review of death penalty handed down to him on November 3 in 2014 for crimes against humanity.
