BOGRA: The district unit of BNP called a 48-hour shutdown in the district from Wednesday morning protesting the cases against party leaders including BNP chief Khaleda Zia and Senior Vice Chairman of the party Tarique Rahman.
Bogra district BNP president VP Saiful Islam on Monday announced the shutdown program starting from 6:00am Wednesday to 6:00am Friday.
However, the vehicle movement was seen normal in the district during the ongoing countrywide hartal enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.
Bogra (Sadar) Assistant Police Superintendent Gaziur Rahman told banglanews that no unpleasant incident was reported in the district on Monday as police are in alert position.
