DHAKA: An unidentified woman was crushed under train wheel in Airport Station area of Dhaka Railway Thana of the city on Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Ali Akbar of Dhaka Railway Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the woman, aged around 45, was killed by Joydebpur-bound train near Armed Police Battalion (APBN) gate in the area around 7:30am.

The body was taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

An Unnatural Death (UD) case was filed in this connection.
