DHAKA: At least seven people were injured in cocktail blasts in Kalabagan and Lalbagh areas of the city Wednesday night.

Sources said that two protesters, who were attending anti-violence movement, injured as miscreants blasted a cocktail in front of Shahid Community Center in Lalbagh area around 8:00pm.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

“They received the injuries as hartal supporters blasted a cocktail targeting us,” said one of the participants.

Meanwhile, alleged pro-blockade and hartal supporters blasted a cocktail aiming a passenger bus near Kalabagan Math area around 8:10pm, leaving five people injured.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media center confirmed the matter to banglanews.
