HABIGANJ: The rail communications of Sylhet from other parts of the country halted as a train compartment derailed near outer signal of Rashidpur Rail Station under Bahubal upazila on Monday.

Rashidpur Station Master Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the accident occurred around 6:30am halting rail links of Sylhel with Dhaka and Chittagong.

However, a rescue train started for the spot from Akhaura.
