GAZIPUR: Police on Monday noon recovered 120 pieces of chocolate bombs in a bag left abandoned in Shripur upazila of Gazipur.

Village Police member Helal Uddin told banglanews that he saw the bag left abandoned under a roadside tree near Shaitalia Bazar in Shripur.

According to Helal, after opening the bag, he saw the materials resemble to bomb and immediately informed the police.

Later, police recovered the materials labeled with ‘chocolate bomb’, he described.

Confirming the matter, Shripur Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohsidul Qadir told banglanews that they are examining the materials.
