KHULNA: Biplob Chakrabarty, a senior reporter of Khulna-based daily Janmabhumi, passed away in the city on Tuesday.

He was 60.

Family sources said Biplob had been suffering from cardiac diseases for several days and breathed his last at a private clinic in the city earlier of the day.

The body, which is now kept in his residence, will be cremated at Rupsha Mahashashman in the afternoon.

Bereavement has got the journalist community over the demise of Biplob.
