DHAKA: A student of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) was killed in a road accident while getting off a bus in city Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Arifuzzaman, a student of 15th batch of Agriculture Department.

Witnesses told banglanews that he slipped while getting off a passenger bus in the area around 8:30am.

A BMW car ran over Arifuzzaman then, leaving him injured critically, they added.

He was rushed to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, the students of SAU vandalized 50-60 vehicles and blocked the road till filing this report.
