Rain hits different parts of country

DHAKA: Rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind hit different places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Faridpur and Dhaka. 

The weather forecast said that trough of westerly low lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country said Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Wind may blow at a speed of eight to twelve kilometres per hour at a direction of North and North westerly in Dhaka, according to the forecast.

Relative humidity was at 49 percent in Dhaka on Tuesday. The sun will set at 06:02pm at Dhaka on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, country’s highest temperature was recorded at 34.4° Celsius in Khepupara of Patuakhali district while the lowest temperature was at 16° Celsius in Rangpur.

In association with rain or thunder showers tempo, west or north-westerly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla  and Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal number one.
